Marlene Little

Between emerging and commonplace - laser technology and the creative space

Marlene Little is the Course Director for the BA (Hons) Textile Design Degree at BIAD, BCU (Birmingham City University). She has an ARMIT (Fine Art Printmaking), an MA in Fashion & Textiles and an MA in Visual Communication.

Both an academic and a practitioner, her interests span the relationship between photography and textiles; changing practices in relation to craft, design and the impact of digital technology: and Australian/UK cultural signifiers.

In 2006 she co-curated with Alex Boyd ‘Depth of Field – Conversations between Photography and Textiles’, an Arts Council funded mac touring exhibition.
